1:72 ACE MODELS Ka-25PS Hormone-C Plastic Model Kit
The Kamow Ka-25 (NATO code: Hormone) was a Soviet-made, all-metal, on-board, on-board helicopter with a fixed, four-support undercarriage in a rare coaxial twin-rotor system. The drive was provided by two Gluszenko GDT-3 turbine engines of different versions with a power of 900 to 990 HP each. The flight of the first prototype took place in April 1961, and serial production continued in the period 1964-1975. Several upgrades of the basic version (Ka-25) were created. The first chronologically was the version of the Ka-25PŁ, which was designed to detect and destroy surface ships and submarines. Later, the Ka-25C model was developed, which was an on-board helicopter for long-range missile guidance and surface ship detection, equipped with the Uspiech-2A radar, powerful for those times. A search and rescue version (Ka-25PC) was also developed. The quite successful Ka-25 was exported to several countries, including Bulgaria, Syria, India and Yugoslavia.
